Modern transport and communication infrastructure plays a pivotal role in driving integrated economic development. It promotes internal and external trade, facilitates efficient use of natural resources, enhances mobility of skilled labor, diversifies markets, reduces unemployment, and boosts agricultural and industrial production. Pakistan is leveraging its strategic location to develop a well-integrated transport and communication system, connecting remote regions through initiatives such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Roads, railways, energy, and telecommunication infrastructure under CPEC will integrate Pakistan with regional markets in Central Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, creating new economic opportunities and transforming the country into a regional hub for trade and investment.
